Carpenter's Assistant

Small family owned construction company located in Harford County MD is looking for a dependable Carpenter’s Assistant to support interior renovation projects, including demolition, drywall, kitchen setups, bathroom remodels, interior trim, flooring, and punch‑list tasks. This role is ideal for someone with some experience who wants to grow their skills and advance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist with demolition and jobsite preparation

• Help with drywall hanging and finishing

• Support kitchen installations and layout setup

• Assist with bathroom remodel tasks

• Work on interior trim, molding, and finish carpentry

• Help install flooring (various types)

• Complete punch‑list items and final touches

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Interact professionally with homeowners while working inside their homes

Requirements

• Some experience in carpentry or residential renovation

• Reliable transportation to job sites

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently

• Professional, respectful behavior in clients’ homes

• Strong reliability and work ethic

• Tools preferred but not required

• Subcontractor position — no benefits/PTO
